QUARTERLY REPORT ON COMMON MINIMUM PROGRAME
(APRIL, JUNE & JULY-2010)

In Kendriya Vidyalaya Leimakhong CMP are being conducted regularly. Strictly implementation of CMP has been done in the Vidyalaya since April 2010 for the session 2010-11. All the Primary Teachers are following Activity Based teaching and fruitful results are coming in the form of student’s creativity and interest. Level of confidence has been increased among the students through LEARNING BY DOING .Since April, 2010 for the session 2010-11 following steps have been taken at the Vidyalaya level to promote CMP.

1. A separate Activity Cum resource Room for primary children has been developed with the facilities of Colour TV, DVD Player, Desktop Computer, Scanner, Colour Printer, Educational CDs & DVDs purchase from CIET, NCERT New Delhi, Value Based CDs of Films, stories, Rhymes, etc. Puzzle games, building blocks, etc. have been provided & children are getting maximum profit of these resources.
2. New Time table has been modified to include Block periods for different classes and subjects.
3. School Rediness Programmes were successfully organized by the concern class Teachers and others assisted them.
4. Film show programme is included in new time table .for each class there is continuous two periods on different days.
5. Monthly purchases of TLM were purchased regularly as per KVS norm.
6. We conducted a Solo Song competition on 13.04.2010. Children shown great interest & delivered their best. Master Chittaranjan from class V B got 1st position, Simran Gupta III A got second and Shesh VB got third position.
7. On 27.04.2010 we celebrated 23rd Annual Day Celebration of our Vidyalaya. Many cultural programmes were organized i.e. Dance, Skit, Prayer, Musical instrument play etc. On that occasion the winner of CCA activities were awarded. In overall CCA Ashoka secured first position and Shiwaji House secured position.

8. We conducted a poster making competition o 23.06.2010 .Many children gave their nice painting among all children Siddharth VA, KH.Avantika VA ,KH.khoimu VA and KH.Devika IIIA were selected as first, second and third.

9. On 01.7.2010 we conducted English Calligraphy Competition in which all the students were involved to promote & appreciate their skills. We selected three children from each class.
10. On 08.07.2010 we conducted Hindi calligraphy competition in which each and every student took part and gave their best. In this competition also we select three students from each class.
11. To promote the creativity and to develop sense of cleanliness we organized class decoration competition on 12.07.2010. All students decorated their classes in a very beautiful manner under the guidance and direction of their class teachers. Class VA, IVB and IVA & III A got first, second and third position respectively.
12. We organized Cleaning Campaigns of school campus in the periods of SUPW.

COMMOM MINIMUM PROGRAMME REPORT

As per letter no. 290367/2008-KVS (SR)/Dated: 09.10.2009 the Implementation of Common Minimum Programme (CMP) for Qualitative Improvement of Primary Education in Kendriya Vidyalaya. We are organizing the Programme for the same. They are as follow.

1. Monthly purchase of Teaching Learning materials.
2. Developed the separate Activity Cum Resource Room for primary Children as per CMP, facilitate with TV, Computer, Educational CDs, Value based films, Stories & Rhymes(Hindi & English), Puzzle Games, Building blocks, Pictorial charts, etc.
3. Modified the time table by making provision for block periods.
4. Conducting CCA activities as per CMP guidelines.
5. Organized different competition like painting, poem recitation, story telling, drama, solo song, group song, solo dance, group dance etc.
6. Medical check up of students of primary children done for two days.(09-10 Sep.2009)
7. A Programme on Health & Hygiene organized with the help of MH 57 MTN DIV.
8. Organized Value Based Film Shows for primary children.
9. We are giving incentives awards to the primary children for the best performance in CCA and in Academic.
10. We conducted games and sports activities through inter houses, intra and inter class wise for primary children.
11. We are giving special attention on slow learners for their academic improvement by motivation and guidance & counseling.
12. We have maintained a activity register for the primary children.
13. We have celebrated National Education Day.
14. We have celebrated Bal Divas (Children’s Day) on 13th Nov 2009 as 14th Nov, 2009 was falling on second Saturday. Different activities like prayer, dance, drama, lecture by students, etc. organized.
15. A picnic was organized by the Vidyalaya for primary section on 23 Nov, 2009 to the nearest Children Park at Leimakhong. Refreshment also provided to the students.
16. KVS Foundation Day will be celebrated on 15.12.2009.
17. Annual Sports Day will be celebrated in the month of December, 2009.
